Finally.
Today sees the commencement of the Electronic Communications Act and the ICASA Amendment Act - a red letter day for communications in South Africa as we finally begin to consign the "Telkomcentric" Telecommunications Act of 1996 to the history books.
Nicciferguson will, over the course of the next few weeks, provide guides and insight into the operation of the new Act so be sure to check in again soon. If you have any questions on the new Act in the interim please feel free to comment or send an e-mail to dominic(at)nicciferguson(dot)co(dot)za.
