by dominic - Posted 08 September 2007
The town of Knysna on the south coast of South Africa boasts Africa's only 802.11 covered municipality. The project, in which Nicciferguson have been involved since inception, features innovative approaches to the provision of electronic communications services to under-serviced areas and the 90% coverage of the town has been achieved at a net saving to the municipality on its previous telecommunications bill with Telkom.
BBC Click Online have produced an article about the Knysna Project. This program is being aired on BBC World at various times between the 7th of September and the 14th of September
