Telkom ADSL hearings

Recommended reading for all those who use the various Telkom ADSL services comes in the form of the Myadsl/Mybroadband presentation to the ICASA enquiry into complaints about the manner in which these services are provided. The impetus for the hearings, which seem certain to generate heated discussion on the cost of the service and the 3 gigabyte cap on monthly usage, are being held pursuant to an initiative launched by Myadsl/Mybroadband and its members.

Can I get ADSL line open on my existing Telkom line and not sign up with Telkom ADSL service. I wish to sign up another ADSL service but utilising Telkom line. If yes, what is the cost related to this matter. Thank you

There are a number of ISPs offering ADSL services, although ultimately all of them originate with Telkom. the best places to visit for excellent information on the different options available are www.hellkom.co.za (lists all the ISPs and prices and restrictions) and www.myadsl.co.za (has a discussion forum on adsl services in south africa where you can receive good advice). hope that helps dominic

Does claims that Telkom has as creditor against a company, precribe in 3 years or longer?
